2025 Winner Grand Prix MEDays Award at the 17th International held at Tangier, Morocco. Amadeus Institute and the MEDays Forum Foundation accorded him the recognition for promoting Global Partnership and Dialogue.
President of Liberia, HE George Manneh Weah conferred the Grand Cordon, Most Venerable Order of the Knighthood of the Pioneers (GCMVOKP) to President Adama Barrow at the 176th Independence Day Anniversary celebration of the Republic of Liberia, in Monrovia. The recognition is for his distinguished service to God and humanity through political leadership and his contribution to the regional development through ECOWAS.
2024 Winner of the African Prize for Peace. The African Conference for Promoting Peace in Africa in collaboration of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum. presented the Award at an elaborate conferment ceremony held in Nouakchott in January 2024. President Barrow was recognised for his efforts in promoting Peace and Human dignity and is an inspiration for other African Leaders to emulate him in building a peaceful and prosperous future for the African Continent.
2023 Joint-winner of the African Peace and Security Leader of the Year organised by African Leadership Magazine. It is primarily based on results from an online poll, which attracted vote entries from across Africa and the globe. His Excellency’s emergence as the African of the Year 2023 is a testament to His Excellency’s contributions to promoting peace and security in The Gambia and the West African sub-region.
September 2022 – Received Appreciation Award from Islamic Cultural Centre of The Bronx and Sumpu Do Khatty, “in recognition of his outstanding work and support to their community both in the USA and The Gambia.”
September 2022 – Received Citation of Merit for Demonstration of Leadership, from President of the Borough of the Bronx, Ms Vanessa L Gibson, on behalf of the residents. Reads… “in recognition of his demonstration of excellent leadership and administration’s relentless support to the community members.”
July 2022 – Awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Human Letters – Honoris Causa by Integral University of Lucknow, in Uttarpradesh State, India received the Key’ for restoring and maintaining democracy in The Gambia.
December 2021 – Received Man of the Year 2021 Award from The Standard Newspaper of The Gambia for an overwhelming victory in the Presidential elections of 4* December 2021.
June 2021 – Awarded Highest National Order of the Republic of Guinea for the unbreakable friendly links between the people of their countries by President Alpha Conde.
March 2021- Person of the Year, TFNHeroes Awards organised by Fatu Camara, proprietor of The Fatu Network.
March 2021 – Decorated with the Order of the Grand Commander of Sierra Leone during Sierra Leone’s 60 Independence Anniversary as Special Guest of Honour of President Maada Bio.
17″ February 2020. Received the insignia of the Grand Master of The Republic of The Gambia – GMRC.
12″ June 2019 – Awarded the Great Builder Super Prize – The Africa Road Builders Babacar Ndiaye Trophy 2019, for my personal leadership in building the Senegambia bridge that links Gambia to Senegal.
December 2018 – Award Honourary Doctorate by Regional Maritime University, Ghana.
March 2018 – Received the Grand National Order of the Lion of the Republic of Senegal from His Excellency, President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal.
January 2018 – Conferred Honourary Doctorate for Human Rights by the University of The Gambia.
2017 – Declared Honourary Citizen of Monrovia and received the Key to the City of Monrovia from Mayor Clara Doe Myogo under the leadrship of Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the republic of Liberia.
